Asset Questions

I have an asset and want to give it back to pay off this loan.

If you possess an asset and wish to surrender it to contribute to your loan repayment, we’re here to assist you. Please reach out to us at 02 8568 6500 so that we can efficiently organise the surrender and sale of the asset on your behalf.

My Asset has been sold, why is there an amount owing?

In some cases, the sale of your asset may not cover the total outstanding balance. Rest assured, we are fully committed to collaborating with you to establish a suitable arrangement to address this shortfall and ensure a fair resolution for all parties involved.

What happens after I surrender my asset?

Once the asset has been surrendered, it is assessed for its value and subsequently put up for auction. The final selling price, after covering any post-auction expenses, is utilised to reduce your outstanding loan balance.

Will surrendering my asset affect my credit score?

The surrender of the asset will result in a reduction of your loan balance, which will generally have a positive impact on your credit score. Once the loan is paid in full, the credit report is updated to reflect this outcome.

What if the sale of my asset exceeds my loan balance?

In the event that the asset is sold for a sum greater than the amount you owe on your loan, any surplus or excess funds will be returned to you. This means that you’ll receive the remaining money once all the outstanding loan obligations have been settled, providing you with a financial benefit from the sale.

Can I surrender multiple assets to pay off my loan?

Unfortunately, we are only able to accept the surrender of the asset connected to the loan. If you wish to sell other assets independently and make payment toward this loan that is up to you.

What happens if my asset is not eligible for surrender?

We can accept your asset for surrender, but it must be directly linked to the loan. The value of the asset depends on its current condition, and its better condition can lead to a higher assessed value, affecting your loan resolution.
